video hook ups

Can anyone tell me what the jumper wire is for at my wall connection behind my living room tv in one out to other on a cougar high country, its a small length someone told me it maybe the connection to the bed room TV, even though that's were to power supply is

One input is the input from the outside cable connection. The other connects back to the antenna booster. This assumes it was wired correctly and that you have the typical 12-volt over the air booster.

The idea is that you install your cable/satellite converter box in place of the jumper, i.e. run the input lead to the line in jack on the receiver and then run the output from the converter box back to the other connector.

If you're not using a satellite and your television has a built in digital tuner (most do) then you shouldn't have to do anything except turn the OTA power button OFF when you are hooked to cable and ON when you want to use your antenna.
