We finally got our house paid for, so I'm not about to take out a mortgage for a set of tires for the truck....
That said, my F250 came with Michelin LTX AT2 tires. At 50K miles on the truck last October, I was concerned with another winter in northern Michigan on that tread. So, I priced Michelin's at Sam's and Costco, and after the heart attack, I decided to try a tire that was recommended by another member of this forum, the Sailun Terramax AT4S. I priced them several places, found them cheapest at WalMart, so I ordered 4. Total price was about $450 less than the Michelins. So far, after about 9000 miles, I have no complaints. They have an aggressive tread, worked super in the ice/snow in the Gaylord area (known as the snowbelt of northern Michigan and comes close to Marquette's snow totals). They are as quiet as the Michelins, ride as good and seem to wear very close to the AT2's.
So far, I've been pleasantly surprised by Sailun's truck tires and they can be serviced at every WalMart with a tire department.
ADDED: I just checked the WalMart website. They still have not corrected the photo on the AT4S. The photo is for the HT tire (highway tread) The AT4S is a significantly more aggressive tread than that pictured on the WalMart site.
