Greetings from CA - looking to get Cougar 31SQBWE

So it is time for an upgrade from our '94 prowler 19' trailer (tight fit for our family of five!) and after TONS of looking, we decided on the 2014 Cougar 31SQBWE. We like the storage throughout and the good construction. LOVE the floor plan! Went and looked at it again yesteday and still very statisfied with the choice.

Only thing that sucks is we will have to wait about a month before we can pick her up. If the local one here is for some reason sold, we'll have to travel up to Oregon or wherever we can find one.

Super excited to get going in this!

Tow vehicle is a 2002 F250 7.3 diesel RWD. It's stock now, but looking at a tuner (more power) and possibly bags in the back.

Welcome to the forum. I'm sure you'll enjoy your new Cougar once you finally find it and get it in your own storage spot. You might want to talk to the dealership that you want to do business with. There's a good chance that he may have another one on order if the one that you're looking at is sold.

Read through the forum about some of the "pitfalls" of buying an RV long distances from home and then trying to get it serviced locally, Some have good results with local dealers, some local dealers refuse to service an RV not purchased from them. Do some homework before you drive hundreds of miles and buy an RV. It's not the same as buying a new car far from home.

Again, welcome to the forum and to Keystone RVing

Okay, little update here - so excited!!!

Trailer locally did not sell, however, I got a deal that I could not pass up about 5 hours north of here.

Brand new out of the factory 31SQBWE for $3500 less than the sale price of the one locally here. And it's got the brand new color scheme!

Not only is it brand new, it's $3500 cheaper than the one on sale here locally (that has been sitting on the lot for who knows how long). How can I pass that up?

Well there is a small possibility that it will be ready tomorrow, otherwise, I'll be heading up early next week to pick it up.
