Securing Keystone Passport Pivot Furniture

Good evening!
On our keystone passport, the pivot furniture became separated from the wall on day one. There was just one 4" wood screw holding it to a wall stud.

I took it to camping world, and all they added was another wood screw, and its coming apart again.

I am ready to repair it myself, but worried about trying to repair it and going thru the laminate wall.

Any suggestions on what repair might work?

Thanks all!

Brian

I looked at a floor plan and saw a "pivot furniture" as an option to replace standard stuff. Since it pivots, guess it can't be secured to the bottom of your slide out. How many wood screws retain both the eating and sitting parts? Maybe a photo or two would help as I can't imagine this set up too well without seeing.

If you have access under the dinette seat, I would add a solid block of wood (2 x 4) to the pivot screw location and replace the wood screw with a through bolt with a double nut. I dont know what you can do on the end that is against the wall with out pulling out the entire bench seat.

I was thinking about this more and wondering if an L shape block of woof or angle iron, placed on the floor and secured with liquid nails might work to keep it from sliding around, and pulling away from the wall.
