Stabilizer Issue
Hello everyone.
I tried the search but didn't find much. I have a 2020 Cougar. My back passenger side stabilize (electric) doesn't start to come down until you push on it, then it seem to work good, (solid) until the next time it's lowered. I'm looking for some troubleshooting information.
Thanks Ed

Do you have Ground Control? Or electric jacks that come down as a pair?

I don't know what "ground control" is. They are electric. You have to lower them until they are down as far as you want them. Their do not auto stop, if that's what ground control means. This is my first travel trailer, so I'm still learning.

Ok. So I take it there is one button that will lower both on the side, and there is bracing that connects them both to the trailer looks like this:
https://store.lci1.com/psx1-high-spe...h-spd-pwr-stab
If so it’s common for one side to touch the ground before the other side does, and I’ve seen one side stay retracted until the other one touches. Normal and not an issue.

That's what it looks like. I'll check that and see what happens.
Thanks

That style has one motor to operate both "legs". The only way for that to work un uneven ground is for both legs to be connected to a central pivot point. Whay you are seeing is perfectly normal. While extending and retracting the stabilizers let your ears tell you when to stop. There will be a change in pitch when it's underload and DO NOT RAISE THE TRAILER WITH THEM. They are stabilizers, not jacks.

As everyone said it’s normal. If you look underneath you will see there is a slide system that allows the motor to keep turning until both legs are down if one leg contact the ground before the other. Pretty common. That’s actually my biggest complaint about the electric stabs, IMO that slide system leaves play in them and they’re not as stable as scissor jacks.
