Gotta slide stuck!

We are in a new avalanche 390ds and the master bedroom slide slid out about 5 inches and won’t go any farther and won’t come all the way back in either. Any ideas why? Last time we were on it, about a month ago everything worked like a dream.

Are you plugged into shore power and are the batteries good and charged up?

I believe the new Aves have a schwintek slide in the bedroom. If that’s the case, you have to disengage the motor and push the slide in by hand and then reset the motors. They get out of sync and jam. With the schwintek system, always try to take the slide all the way out/in without stopping and then hold the switch for a couple seconds after it’s done moving to reset the motors. BTW, the motors are in the wall, you will probably have to remove some trim to find the bolt to disengage them. Once they’re jammed, that’s the only way I know of to correct it. I’m just glad I don’t have that system.

If it’s a schwintek you’ll NEVER push the room by hand without REMOVING the motors. That involves removing a set screw from the outside and lifting the motors from the inside. Even then it’s not an easy task for even 2 people.

There is an “override” but you need to locate the controller. Looks like this:

https://www.ebay.com/itm/16524264794...f59f2366831796

Instructions are printed on it. Most likely place for the controller is the basement, probably the roof. If there is a problem it will also flash trouble codes.
