Interstate EFB battery

Can I use an EFB battery in a 2013 Keystone travel trailer?
Will it work right and charge right with the factory converter?

If I read right the EFB is a starting battery, you want Amp hours not cranking amps.

Will it work in your trailer, but you won’t get the benifits designed in that battery since your not “starting” anything like a boat motor.

Had to look up what an EFB battery was. Here's what I found:
enhanced flooded battery

What is an EFB battery? An enhanced flooded battery (EFB) can also be used in cars that feature Stop-Start technology. It is considered an entry level battery for use in cars with this technology.

I sounds like this would not be a good choice for you as it is not deep cycle battery rather it would have a cold cranking rating which raises a red flag for use in your camper.

Those are not true deep cycle batteries. They are marine/RV batteries and are supposed to be a combination of starting/ deep cycle. A true deep cycle will not have cold cranking amp rating as they are not designed to start an engine.

Can you suggest a battery?
I am always hooked up to shore power.
The travel trailer stays at a seasonal site all year. Will never move.
Thanks

I don't know what trailer you have as Keystone built a lot of different models in 2013. If you go up to UserCP and create a signature with year, make, and full model number it will help folks answer your questions with better context. The RV/Marine battery should be fine if your at a permenant site with shore power. You definatly still need a battery but the demands on the battery aren't very high if you are always plugged in.

If your going to be plugged in all the time, I would buy the cheapest group 24 DEEP CYCLE battery made. Just check the water level every month.
