Bedroom Closet Shelf - remove?

I want to remove the shelf in my bedroom closet (2021 Cougar 290RLS). I've started to remove the screws but I don't want to get too far to find out I can't do it. Has anyone else done this and do you have advice? I'm really handy but never owned an RV before and intend to live in mine. I can't stand my clothes folded up on the bottom because the shelf is in the way. Why is there even a hang bar then...

Wow, I thought for sure everyone else had the same issue. I took the shelf out. I had to take the drawers out so I could remove the screws under the shelf and had to take the left and right vertical piece of wood out. It came out with no issue - then reattached the left and right vertical to keep the closet frame stable. This took me about 20 minutes. I'm much happier now that my shirts don't sit all scrunched against the shelf.
