Is a 6 gauge wire sufficient to connect two 6-volt golf cart batteries in series?

I was wondering if gauge wire sufficient to connect two 6-volt golf cart batteries in series?
Our 2012 High Country Cougar came with 6 gauge wire from the positive wire from the camper to the batteries and also from the negative wire coming from the camper to the batteries.

Would it be fine to use the same 6 gauge wire to wire 2 golf cart batteries in series ?

Also I will be putting a 2000 inverter in as well what gauge wire would you suggest we would be using the inverter for running tv, dish network, and every once a while my wifes curling iron ?

Your inverter should have instructions telling you what gauge wire to use based on distance from DC source. We use 2 gauge between the batteries and the original factory leads to the trailer.

I'm no expert on inverters, so maybe temper that with something I'm not familiar with when it comes to inverters....but, an inverter that is capable of 2000 Watts is going to draw a lot of current on the DC side of things. 2000 watts output from the inverter is roughly 16 1/2 amps of 120 vac. In order to get that output, the input has to be able to supply roughly 2000 watts. With the input voltage being lets say 12.4 VDC, you would be pulling (2000 watts divided by 12.4 volts) around 160 amps on the DC side of the circuit. So absolutely NO, there is no way a 6 ga wire is going to do that.

I agree that 2 ha would be the answer with quality connectors.
