Bullet Crossfire unknown wall plate

I just purchased a 2019 Bullet Crossfire 1900rd and near the floor below the thermostat there is a rectangular plate covering a round hole with a single black wire sticking out of one of 3 rectangular holes in the plate. Anyone know what is missing?

Is that where your propane detector is located? A video tour of this model shows one at that location.

I have the same model. It's where the propane detector should be.

Thanks so much. Now can anyone tell me what part number that is or how to go about getting one? I assume that would be to detect if I have a propane leak in the camper.
As a side note, has anyone tried to replace the furnace thermostat? The only one I can find appears to be digital and I don't know if it's compatible.

If your trailer is new or still in warranty, the LPG detector is OEM (required) equipment and the dealership should replace it for you. If it's a used unit with no warranty, you can buy a replacement LPG detector at any RV parts store (about $60). Take a photo of the wall plate and any parts "counter man" can identify which brand you need to fit what you have.

As for the thermostat, post a photo of what you have and someone will post a link to where to get a replacement. Based on your comments, I'd suppose your current thermostat is a "mercury bulb mechanical type" ??? Many brands are interchangeable, but some are not. Is yours a Coleman, a Dometic, a "aftermarket style" ?? A photo would help identify it for you.

First attempt at posting a picture but here goes. There seems to be something broken as it works but I can't read the current temp or what I'm setting it for.

Your first attempt was successful.

There should be a thermometer in that horizontal opening and it’s not that accurate. The slider on the top is how you set the desired temp, and yeah, it’s not that accurate either.
