Removing Light Scratches from Counter Tops
I have a few very light scratches on one of my high gloss, black, faux granite counter tops. I'm curious if anyone has had similar problems and what if any products were successful at removing the scratches. I thought about trying 3M Finesse-It II Glaze which is designed for fiberglass and gel coat finishes.

We too have some scratches. Each time I see them dulling the reflected light, I think "Next time I'm in Home Depot I need to ask what to do.". And each time in HD, I forget! They are Corian Countertops, and I would bet alot of us would like to remember to ask what to do!

I Googled "Corian Countertop Repair" and came across a bunch of sites, including YouTube demos, which you might find helpful in removing tiny, light scratches as well as deeper ones. There seemed to be a lot of useful information there for you to browse through and you don't even have to get out of your chair and drive all the way to Home Depot to ask. But some of us would forget by the time we got there why we were going in the first place.

I did quite a bite of Googling as well and ran across a lot of recommendations for polishing and treating different surfaces. I'm not sure I'd call this material Corian. It really doesn't have the same texture as other authentic Corian surfaces I've worked with. It's no where near the same density or hardness. It's more like the material you might find in a bass boat. The 3M product I mentioned above sounds like an appropriate product, but it's ridiculously expensive. I love the counter tops, but they seem VERY easily scratched.

Hmmm...maybe that's the solution!

Hmm. Makes sense, different models - different materials. In the Alpine, they are Corian, the logo disk is right there at the sink. And Corian scratches just as bad as everything else!

Our 3400RL Montana had the Corian counter tops. Our Fuzion has something else they do not have the corian tag on them . They are black with white specks to make it look like black granite. They scratch a little but I don't know what to polish it out with either. They are nice and go with the interior of our Fuzion toyhauler. If any one runs across something please post a name. George

This is what I have used on our Corian counter tops and some faded plastic, it takes some rubbing but it works for me.
