I worked at RV dealerships for the last 9 years before accepting employment at an independent repair facility. $300.00 is not out of line, and every dealership I worked at did NOT use a $65.00 controller. Yeah more often than not it was a simple “plug and play” but there was the occasional PITA that took a LOT longer.
Dealerships are in the business of making money, they do need to cover overhead and such. Your choice not to buy the controller and installation is yours to make, but I don’t think it’s really fair to say they were trying to “rip you off”. Did you call any other place and get a price?
