Cool Air Conditioning Ducting and Filters

Greetings, Is it possible for two roof A/C units to share the same filter, from one unit? The bedroom unit has A/C vent access and the filter. The living room unit, while ducted through the ceiling, does not have internal A/C hardware and, of course, no filter. Both A/C units appear to share the same duct work. Unknown if a second A/C filter exists somewhere in the camper. Thanks, Mike

Each unit should have its own filter on the return side. The return side is the side of the air condition that draws in the room air before it cools it and sends it out the discharge side.

On the ceiling inside your LR of your Alpine look for two return vents for that AC unit..

A pic of the ceiling of the entire LR area would greatly help us t9 help you

Possible? It's an 8 yr old camper so who knows what someone may have done. Probable? Not likely. Every ceiling/roof top mounted rv air conditioner has a filter mounted in the unit behind a grill. Typically the grill is held in place with plastic 1/4 turn fasteners.

The output may or may not be connected.
