Cheap tip when replacing hot water element

We have a Suburban water heater that had a blown element which was easy to replace but every few hours the reset would trip. After taking it all apart again I found that the reset/Thermostat had partially burned off at the terminal. from now on I will spend the extra $9 and replace them both at the same time
