Any Bullet Owners Out There?? Looking for Feedback
Hi All,
We are looking to trade in our Springdale 240BH for a model a little bigger with a couch. We have it narrowed down to the 2016 Bullet 272BH and the Passport 2810BH. From what I can tell they look to be very similar in build materials and attention to detail. I don't know much about the Bullets, are they the same as the Passport just different floorplan? Any feedback from Bullet owners on satisfaction?
Thanks!

You might want to check out the "Social Group" found in the "Community" section of the forum. Look at the blue bar at the top of the page and click on "Community" then Social Groups. Both the Passport and Bullet have separate sections initiated by owners of these two RV's.

We have been very pleased with ours. The two brands seem to be pretty much the same as far as quality. We spend 5 months, during the winter in it, in Arizona and have not had it in for service since new.

I bought a 2810. I am tall and the Bullet bathroom didn't have the clearance for me. Both are nice TTs. The passport has a true queen bed too.

Using Tapatalk on my IPhone I can't find the "community" section or "social group". Do you have to reach it via the web?

Thanks guys, we really like them both but I think we are leaning toward the Bullet as it has the counter space we are looking for and the wife likes the laundry shoot

Depending on the sink layout the Bullet does have more counter space. It also has more windows in the slide, blackout curtains instead of blinds on some Windows. Make sure you do a detailed PDI and you will have many years of enjoyment. Have fun.

Maybe you can access it at this link: http://www.keystonerv.org/forums/group.php?do=grouplist
All I did was click on "community" -- "social Groups" -- "All Groups"....

well we have a bullet 251rb and although it isn't just like the 2 you are looking at ours has the same features- here is some info that might help you decide-we have never used the laundry shoot as we have all of our misc outdoor and trailer things stored in the pass through storage and a laundry basket simply will not fit, might work for you though, the jack knife couch was so uncomfortable that it had to go we replaced it with 2 laz-boy recliners. our trailer came with a true queen size mattress(i did not see anything on mattress size on the bullet website)and we also replaced it with a residential queen size mattress(so much better to sleep on), for a lite weight trailer i think they are great trailers, other than that we have not had any big issues with it,several small things like loose cabinet screws, propane hose leak, etc. for a 3 season trailer it does ok,we just spent 3 days in it at Leavenworth for new years with no issues. hope this helps

When we were trying to decide between the Bullet and the Passport, we chose Passport simply because of the weight. Passports are the ultra lights so you can get more trailer for the weight that you are trying to stay at. We ended up with the 2890rl.

We looked at both and chose the Passport. We liked the U-shape dinette better on the Passport. It has worked out better with the kids.

What model did you end up with?

Thanks everyone for the continued feedback! The point about the laundry chute is a good one, once we have all of our gear in there I'm not so sure it would be very useful. The more we think about we also would miss the U dinette we have in our 240BH, the Bullet does not have this but the Passport does. We have 3 young children so seating space is a priority. I have a 2014 F-150 SCREW 4x4 Ecoboost with 3.73 and max tow (door sticker payload is 1,780lbs) with an E2 WDH. Would the longer length of the 2810BH vs the Springdale 240BH cause much more sway? We would also be upgrading to the 4pt Equalizer WDH with the new trailer and it weighs about 500lbs less than our Springdale.
So many choices out there its mind boggling

I also wonder if the slopped smooth front of the passport/bullet would be beneficial compared to our vertical corrugated front end of the Springdale?

I have the 4pt Equalizer and 2810bh. If setup properly, it works well (no sway). Do you have LT tires on your truck? They will help with sway. I have LT tires that are load range D.
If you have LT tires and get the Equalizer hitch dialed in, you shouldn't have any problems.

I just installed BF Goodrich K/O2 LT "E" range tires and thinking that the stiffer sidewalls will make for better handling. The truck never feels unsafe with the current setup, but I want to make it as solid as possible.

I have the same tires (except for D) and no problems. I air them up when I tow and down when unloaded.

Any Bullet Owners Out There?? Looking for Feedback
I have Passport 3220bh, with a 2015 F150, 3.5 ecoboost, with the 3.55 gears.
It pulls my trailer fine. I use a straight forward weight distribution hitch with the chains and a sway control arm. You just have to spend the time to set up your hitch and you will be fine. I had to adjust the angle a few times but now that is correct I don't even know the trailer is there.
I do agree that LT tires would be better to tow with. I have the P rated BFG's that came in the truck. I haven't felt unsafe that I would run out and change the tires, but next set will be LT's.
I should add this was our first year with the Passport and the family absolutely loved it. This is my first RV, after last summer should have done it sooner. The trailer has a lay out that really works for my family. Looking forward to next year.
