He's going to find that when he pulls the receptacle from the wall, they are nothing like residential ones. There's no box; instead, the duplex has a back cover and the wires feed directly into and out of it in a single package. It's RV specific and can not be used in residential per code.
I had one out of the wall in my trailer a couple of weeks ago, and should have taken a pic of it.
The easiest to way to do this, IMHO, is to buy a 12vdc USB charging port and hook it up to the hot and ground wires near any of the lights that can be turned on and off only with the built-in switch. They always have the hot side hot. Some of the ceiling lights are switched from a wall switch and the hot is cut off there.
When I installed mine, I popped out the entertainment center and grabbed the hot and ground wire for it, and installed the USB in a small blank wooden panel of the cabinetry. I also installed a pair of cigar lighter style outlets. The switch to the left turns the USB on an off. We dry camp and the USB pulls a small amount of current constantly so I shut it off when not in use. I have since added a second switch that kills all power to the entertainment center for the same reason.
