Crazy stuff in Boston

News on all night and all day all stations following all the stuff with the bombers. Not sure what the rest of the country is getting but here it is crazy. Hopefully they will catch this guy soon so we can get on with our lives. My work location is shut down today. Just sitting here watching this.

Same down here, seems to be the focus of the nation right now. The sooner we help this one reach his goal the better.

The immediate crisis is over, now to start healing the wounds created by this tragedy. To all the moms and dads who held and comforted their children while listening to the gunfire outside their homes last night and again today, the scars they will endure and the crisis for them will go on, for some of them, for years. To everyone involved, we wish the best and offer our expressions of caring and wishes for a brighter tomorrow for the adults, but even more, for the children who have lost a part of their childhood during this ordeal. God bless you all, and God bless our country as we move forward from these days.

MA and TX

Well said JRTJH. Our thoughts & prayers also go out to all those affected by tragedy this week.

One of our own forum members (Javi) is from the Waco TX area... hoping that he & his family are also safe.
For those that don't know, the community of 'West' (where the explosion happened) is about 15 miles from Waco.

Some advice about finding a bomb. You should know not to move it or pick it up. People still do and bring them to police stations etc. DO NOT. Also get away from it before using a radio or cell phone. Unless you are a bomb expert you cannot tell how it will go off. It can be movement, count down clock, fuze or radio signal. Get away and call police.

Yes they do. I'm a police officer and was in the lobby of the PD one day. I woman came in carrying a hand grenade. Not just any grenade either, but WWII OSS "beano" T13 developed by Kodak. Apparantely these were tested out and discovered to be very unrealiable and killed more of our troops than the enemy. A total recall was sent out but I guess someone snuck it back home. And yeah, the fire department determined it to be live. Fun fun day..She had brought it from home and had all her little kids in the car with her. I advised her in the future to just maybe leave it where she found it and call first...
