Duo Slide Ski Question

My 2016 Cougar 5th wheel has 2 slideouts with some wood rot of their floors -- not extensive, just an inch or so along the sides in spots. Camping World is telling me that I need to replace both floors in their entirety at a cost of many thousands of dollars.

Why couldn't I simply install some 6" wide Duo Slide Skis on each side of my slideouts -- which would cover the spots where wood has rotted and provide a clean surface to ride over the wear bar?

Anyone have any experience with this?

Thanks.

If the edges of the floor are rotten, then the walls are not secure. It will only get worse unfortunately IMO.

First you need to fix the leak. I'm not sure you would be able to secure the slide ski's to a rotted floor.
