First welcome to the forum. Second, getting frustrated doesn't help it only makes things worse.
Let's start by sharing some more information. The more information concerning the current issues will enable folks to render more relevant advice. Let's start with the awning. What brand is it? If you dont know then take a picture of it. Do you have other 12vdc appliances that currently work, i.e. the slide outs, lights, radio, vent van? Are you operating the awning via a switch on the wall, a remote control, or a touch screen on the wall? Last question. Have you tried the awning in both directions? Some electric awnings will continue to extend until the fabric wraps around inside out and you have to press retract to get it to extend until its fully deployed again.
Now the water heater. In order to use 7 gal of antifreeze you may have not had the by-pass lever positioned properly when you winterized. As has been asked, is the valve on the back of the water heater or is it in a convenience center? Have you drained the water heater? If not then drain it and see if it has antifreeze in it. Bye-pass valves in actuality a diverter valve. The direct the flow in one of two directions. The handle on the valve points in the direction of the water flow. These valves rarely require replacement. Most water heaters use one valve on the cold line and a check valve on the hot. That check valve can stick open causing the water to back fill into the water heater.
Hope this helps. Hang in there and take your time this is fixable.
