Slide won’t work!!

Brand new 2022 29 RLI Cougar. Used 2 times. Living room slide went part way out and stopped. Now won’t do anything. I can hear a click. That’s all. All other slides work.

Can you determine where the “clicking” is? Is it at the top of the slide?

Inside somewhere. Sounds like around motor maybe. Like a car when it won’t crank.

Ok. lets make sure of a couple of things:

Is the battery fully charged?

Are you plugged into shore power?

When a vehicle clicks when the starter is actuated it is the starter solenoid which may not have enough power to turn the starter. I suggest, as has been noted, that the motor is 12V DC and the battery may be down. You were asked if you were plugged into shore power because you can drain a battery pretty quickly by actuating the slide when not being plugged into AC power (shore power).

The batteries are 80/90% charged says husband. Would that make a difference?

If your plugged in and the batteries are fully charged then the slide motor should be getting enough power to operate. I assume your coach has InCommand? and does the slide retract? How did he measure the batteries?

Perhaps the in-command gizmo has some way to gauge. My idiot lights on my analog trailer have five lights for the battery and I guess with all 5 lit, that is 100 percent and 4 lit 80 percent. Can you trust the in-command read out if it says 80 to 90 percent? Not sure how like a 2022 camper's battery would be bad or failing but a load test at the auto parts store or with a load tester (I have one) would make sense, no?

OK, Forget what Incommand says. Disconnect from shore power, take the battery out and have it LOAD TESTED. post back with the results.

If your plugged into shore power InCommand should display 13+VDC if the converter is working.

Thank you for trying to assist with issue. It is resolved. Our wonderful dealership sent a technician to our home yesterday. As it turns out the electrical panel - inside the storage compartment was lose!! Very lose. Technician said it was amazing anything was working. He said they should have caught it before delivery but somehow was overlooked.
