Could be? I Checked pressure but when it was working it worked fine. It was a now and then failure. Hard to fix something that won’t stay broken. Just happened to catch the regulator stuck in between red and green and it didn’t make any difference when I changed bottles.

I switched it to LP about two hours ago and it’s still working

I have installed 3 of these in the Norcold 2118. Easy install and gets cold in a hurry.

Thanks but mine gets really cold when it’s working . Since I put the new regulator on it we haven’t had any problems. But it has worked before until we get ready to go somewhere. Been on LP today since around noon. Gonna check it again tomorrow morning.

Just checked on the fridge and it is working as it should. We shifted it back to AC . It has done this before, works fine till we get ready to go somewhere then it won’t light on LP. Time will tell it the new hoses and regulator fixed the problem. With fuel at or above $5.00 a gallon and 8mpg towing it might be a little while before the next trip

Refrigerator
I’m taking mine in next week. Keystone said they have a recall on some models for regulator. Mine is not one but sounds suspicious. What brand and model did you install?

Fairview RV Camper LP Propane 2 Stage Automatic Changeover Regulator
I got it from Amazon. I hope the link works.
It’s a little smaller than the original so when I installed it we put the fridge on LP , lit the furnace and everything on the stove and didn’t have any issues .
I didn’t know anything about a recall but my dealership is about 90 miles away probably cheaper to get my own than make a two 180 mile round trips

Just wondering do y’all leave the fridge running all the time on shore power? We have been leaving ours running 24/7 while at home on shore power. I read something earlier today that said leaving an absorption rv fridge on ac can shorten the life of the boiler causing it to leak and fail. I’m thinking if I leave it running everything stays warm and dry. We just come down and check out it from time to time
What do you guys think?

If you're not using it, i.e. camping in a week or so, and keeping basically condiments inside then why run it? Empty it, wipe it down and prop the doors open. If you are using it in your driveway as a second fridge the most important thing is to make sure that the fridge is plumb (vertically level in each direction) and keep the exterior vent clear and the condensate drain open.

So what do the full timers do? I bet they run their fridge 24/7/365. Electric element or LP doesn’t matter since your creating heat.

We haven’t turned ours off since 2015 when we had the cooling unit replaced the second time. At that time, I added the ARP device, and the freezer keeps ice cream frozen and the fridge side keeps drinks and food just above freezing. Ours is the Norcold 1210.

We keep some adult beverages down there and escape the daily rituals now and then
It is level fore and aft port and starboard.
I didn’t think about full timers I’m sure they run on ac most of the time!

This is our third rv
I replaced two cooling units in the first one within 7 years . Only turned the fridge on when we were camping.
The second one we had 13 years and replaced one cooling unit in it. We left in running 24/7/365
Both were Dometic .
