On our last trip, I had to finagle the trailer into a tough spot and had it leaning hard to one side for a few minutes while figuring out my next move. My buddy who was spotting noting tranny or hydraulic fluid seeping out near one of my jacks. Nothing was on or operational so I knew it had to be excess fluid from somewhere. It as leaking out from under the frame in between it and the “Artic package.” Once parked the leaving system and sliders worked fine. I looked at the fluid reservoir which was low but at same place from when I bought the trailer.
Fast forward to the other day when I had time to look at it. I unbolted the chloroplast and found a lake of tranny fluid. After cleaning it all out, washing and cleaning washing and cleaning I checked all fitting and they were tight. Ran the system several times with and without a load and no leaks. Only/best guess is at the factory maybe a hose was left off and laying inside the frame. Upon operating the system it flooded with fluid but kept it contained in the belly of the attic package. Had the trailer not been tilted I would have never found it. On the bright side. It gave. Me a chance to reroute and properly secure the extra 25’ of hydraulic hose under there.
