To anode rod or not to anode rod....

Ok, so I have been tossing this idea around and seen in other places different opinions and discussions...

I have a 2020 keystone passport 2950BH GT... It did not come with an anode rod in the water heater tank. I did purchase one but a little hesitant on putting it in.. As some say if you have an aluminum tank you shouldn't need it.
My question is if I install it is there going to be any issues or will it be fine??

If it’s in the original package, take it back for a refund. I don’t think your going to cause any harm if you install it other than the small harm to your wallet.

I don't know what water heater you have but, if it didn't come with an anode rod new it didn't need it. Look at the manufacturer of the water heater; Suburban wants the anode rod; Atwood does not. It's due to the type of tank construction but that will fix you up. If it didn't have the rod it should have had a plastic plug I suspect-use the same.
