Furnace Issues

Good morning y'all, we have a 36ft Cougar and the furnace is lighting for 6 to 8 cycles. Then, the fan comes on for the next cycle but on ignition. I turn the reset switch off, check the sail switch and wait 10 min before turning the reset switch back on. Half of the time the system comes on. What's causing the inconsistent operation

I had the similar issue being described. Last spring I changed out the control board for a Dinosaur version. So far this winter, no issues

I’m not an rv furnace expert but I am a residential a hvac contractor. Can you access the furnace circuit board? It may have a flashing light that will blink in a combination of short or long flashes to indicate a fault code. Usually listed on door of furnace or near schematic. It’s most likely locking itself out on a fault code. When you turn power off and then back on it resets itself and erases the fault code. It’s important to look at the flashing light and note the combination and pattern of flashes before you shut off power but after it stops working. It could be overheating so you may want to clean filter (if it has one) open all your vents if any are closed or clean return grill and make sure nothing is blocking it
This is true on most newer home furnaces also. The worst thing is when a customer shuts off power after it stops working. Then it’s much harder to diagnose as the problem may be intermittent
