Loading the Travel Trailer (supplies)

Guys,
Another question:
We own a Cougar 32FBS TT and the bunkhouse is setup in the front of the trailer. So we use that space to load chairs and our grill and other various items that don't add much additional weight. My question is: Is this the best area to load said items or would it be better to load the items in the back of the trailer to add some weight to possibly reduce some bounce?

I think the 60/40 rule is the ideal distribution for trailer cargo (60% of cargo weight in front of the trailer axles and 40% behind). You need to keep an eye on gross tongue weight as at least 10-15% of your trailer's GVW is required for a safe ride.

You need the weight up front and the more weight you have behind the axles, the better chance of having sway.

Re: Loading the trailer (supplies)

Good Morning guys,
Thanks again for the feedback. I wanted to make sure we were doing the "right" thing with loading. I will keep an eye on the tongue weight buster, thanks for the tip.

Load the front heavier for stability when towing
