Fifth wheel rocking

Is it normal to see slight rocking side to side when towing a fifth wheel? While doing some practice driving my wife noticed that the RV rocked slightly while traveling. She's worried that it's going to pop out of the hitch. She can't understand how the hitch actually secures the RV by just the kingpin! I thought that this slight rocking is normal motion while driving as the RV goes over terrain in may cause some slight rocking. I told her the old TT did the same thing. We haven't had any chucking with the Reese Titan 16k.

perfectly normal, that's why you have to have 6" clearance between the rv and truck bed. Wait until you get on some uneven terrain, then see what she says.

Got that right!! Up state NY made my cat sick enough to force me to pull over.

When you look at the king pin you'll notice that there is a big lip at the tip. The bar or hook closes around/across the narrow part and the fat lip prevents it from lifting out.
