Scraped our Keystone Bullet 294BHS

We have a 2010 Keystone Bullet 294BHS. I was trying to back it up and park it in front of a barn and I seem to have scraped it next to one of my brother's old junk cars. I don't think the fiberglass is damaged, just the weather seal in the corner. I am trying to get bids now from different RV shops in the area to repair it. Anybody else do something stupid like this? Does anyone have any ideal on a ballpark figure it will take to have it repaired? I think $300 - $500. Am I far off? Thanks for your help!

After checking it again last night, the fiberglass is ok and the interior is not ruptured. It just seams like that corner weather stip needs replaced. I don't care about the decal, as they are all garbage and peeling off anyway.

If you're not "overly concerned" about the decal being scratched, I'd say that you should be able to remove the trim, straighten it out, repaint it, use new butyl putty tape under it and reinstall it yourself. It wouldn't be the "prettiest" job, but the objective, at this point, should be protecting the area from water damage. Stopping any leaks would do that. Later on, if the "scratched surface" does bother you, you can always have the area repaired professionally. Although I'd almost bet your repair would be as good as most "professional jobs"....

You were right. I went to local RV shop and they wanted $350 to repair it with a new sticker. So I just bought 12 feet of the corner mold myself. I took the old one apart and scraped all the butyl tape out and silicone. Pounded the original back into shape and painted it. Hopefully they will take their new piece of corner strip back, but if not I am only out $25. Also need to get new butyl tape anyway. I think I will be able to repair it all for less than $50. I had to buy some spray paint and silicone. Oh well. Thanks for your suggestion.

I would urge you not to use silicone anywhere around that part of the trailer. It only sticks once. Then, when you try to clean it off and reapply it, nothing sticks to it, not even itself. Use DICOR, SICAFLEX or another "RV approved" sealant. Not silicone !!!!!

We have used silicone to seal the edges of the corner moldings. Trick is to clean the surface, denatured alcohol works good.
