Noticed that some are talking about 2kw and others 3.1kw or more. Something to consider is that RV air conditioners come in basically two sizes. I could run our old TT's 13k btu on a single Yamaha 2400is with no problems, but that single generator would die under the starting load of our Montana's 15k btu AC. If you've a 13k AC, you can get by with a 2kw generator, but you'll need a minimum of 3kw to start a larger AC. Most of the current load is on start up, but even once running the two sizes of air conditioners have significantly different current draws.
