Post Update

Called Dometic regarding awning, they said it has a 2 year warranty and suggested I leave it alone and thought it needed adjusted, GOOD PART. Called my dealer first appointment Mid July BAD PART. We will be out a few times before that. This dealer is not really small, service area has think 6 stall garage two smaller trailers per stall Every time I go there and look around its packed my thinking was "what are they giving away". Service Manager said that he had 45 new sells they are trying to get out based on todays backlog and selling more each day. Going to get crowed out there on the road real soon The most common opinion I hear when I am there is "Kids are gone and we decided to spend our money and enjoy the rest of our lives"

I May get up there and at least look

Thanks for all the pics! Do not have. I wonder if I should inquire with KS about my lack of awning arms...... Nah, I think I'll skip the torture and move on to something more enjoyable.

I thought I'd throw this out there, Lippert has a Lateral Arm LED Light Kit
http://www.dometic.com/enus/Americas...ctdataid=99446
It doesn't show much, I'm wondering how/where they mount to the arms...bottom/inside edge? There's a How to install LED lights video on that page too and I watched it to see if it had any info, it covered every LED product they sell but that one.

Arms

Those arms are spring loaded inside of the extended awning. If you look at the picture you have with the Dometric sticker looking at you.....reach right behind the sticker and feel the arm up inside of there. Then go to the back side of the sticker and look up inside there. The 2 arms are attached to the outside of the frame. You have to go to the middle of the arms and push the arms to the outside to get them to get enough room to swing out. Then you have to rotate them 90 degrees to get them down. You have the same mounting brackets on the door as I do. I had to adjust them a little to get the ends to go on. Then remember how you got those things out, cause they are as difficult to get out as putting back in. After you do it a few times you'll get the hang of it. Use a flash and take a picture of the backside of the Dometric sticker from your back door of your toy hauler. I can tell if you have the struts or not. Especially the center of the awning on the inside shooting up at the center of the frame on the inside.

Thanks, I'll look at it again but there are no brackets on the back frame I am sure of because I would have already asked what the heck they were for.

patio struts

Look tucked away on the inside of that outer housing. They rotate 90 degrees to tuck inside of that aluminum outer frame. Shake that housing and they may make some noise or you can see them move but they are pretty tight in there.

No, I meant there are no brackets on the back of the trailer to attach the non existing arms to. I'll take some more pictures.

Motor is gone/no workie. Mechanic disconnected wire to awning, put a new fuse in and did not blow. Take about a week to get here and will install motor when it gets here. Did not have to leave rig. I am kinda glad it was just motor and not some nightmare wiring issue.

Awning struts

I looked through that Dometric link and found mine and I also found yours without the struts! I would have thought they would have been the same!

I looked at the Dometic website and couldn't find mine. I also looked at mine again yesterday and they are not there. But thanks for the help.

Glad you got it solved and you aren't going to have to part with the trailer for the Summer to get it fixed.
