Interior lighs & pump do not work on battery

I have a new Cougar 323MKS. When disconnected from 120v, the interior lights, pump tank gauges and panel back light do not work but the slides and the front jacks do work. I connected my battery charger to the battery and it indicates 100% charge. I checked all fuses and breakers in the inverter panel and all are OK. Any ideas why this is happening? (Everything works when plugged into shore power.)

Slides and jack are probably direct connections to the battery. The other stuff routes through the converter panel. Does the stereo and fridge have the same problem?

If I were going to guess, I’d say one or both of the battery polarity fuses is blown. I know you said you checked all that, but I bet the problem is in the panel.

There are several inline fuses in the front basement where the landing gear motor is located. Before you do anything else, check all of them for a blown fuse.

If yours is like mine the converter is mounted behind the fuse panel. If I remember correctly there are 2 fuses that plug into the converter. (Hope your ribs are feeling better.)

Thanks to everyone for your input. I feel really foolish. After contacting the dealer and checking everything everyone suggested, I started wondering if the battery could be disconnected. Sure enough, I found the battery disconnect switch in the compartment where the water hookups are. It was in the off position and must have been that way since I left the dealer. I turned it on and everything works. Funny the dealer didn't think to ask about it and odd that the delivery tech would tun it off the day I picked up the camper

Ah, yes. Not so foolish. Others have discovered that the battery cutoff is *after* some devices like slides and landing gear. That came as a surprise to many of us, including me.

Now I’m curious. Does the Cougar’s breakaway switch for the brakes still work with the battery disconnect set to off? I installed my own battery disconnect, and it’s the *first* thing in the circuit.

If you did not move the hot wire for the breakaway to the battery, it's probably unlikely that it would work if the batteries are off.

I did much the same thing so I have to make double, double sure that at least one of the batteries is on when ever I tow the trailer.
