Mine has a similar front layout and my pump is in the nightstand base next to the bed on the slide side of the camper. I accessed it by removing two screws on the panel face before I built and installed a door there for easy access (the one on the entry side of the camper was an empty void behind the panel so we use that one as a shoe cubby). If you lift our bed, there is also an access panel to the water heater space under there.

I bought an extra fitting for the intake side of the Flojet pump and crimped it in a flexible suction hose. I just pop off the line from the tank, plug in the suction hose, and draw from the antifreeze bottle. I didn’t feel like doing a whole bypass kit (less is more) so I could avoid multiple potential leak points down the road.

Simply blowing out the lines will not clear water from the pump. Dumping antifreeze into the fresh water tank is wasteful, costly and you would regret it in the spring.

You need to access the pump and install either a permanent or temporary suction bypass unless you have a wet bay in the pass through.

Thx bulldog. Wud not fill fw tank with anti freeze. In 12 of my previous rvs have always used a by pass to fill lines with af. Water pump was always next to hw tank and easy to get to. Never encountered this cougar set up.

Don't know your model, but in mine you access the pump compartment by lifting up the bed, then sliding the carpeted nightstand cover (lower one) into the bed compartment like opening a Chinese puzzle box. It comes completely off, no screws or cutting required. See photo. (The PVC prop is just there because our add-on mattress overpowers the gas struts.)

My Outback and my Springdale (Both Keystone products), had the pump located in the same spot as LHaven's (above). I had to remove some screws in the carpet that covered it. Once I got the screws removed, I never replaced them. The bed had to be lifted to remove it completely off.

L Haven, thx for ur valuable input and suggestions. I found the pump and yes I have the same annoying access. Gonna do exactly what you did, cut that board and make a door. The pump looks pretty constricted but will have another look today to see if I can work the antifreeze bypass in there. Sometimes I think the designers of rvs just do these things to send owners to hotel silly. Thx again

Mine is behind a false wall in the front storage, sounded like it was in the night stand but is underneath it. was all set up with valve and hose for winterizing. YMMV
