Hardwired shore power replacement with external plug

Has anyone replaced the pass through power cord with an external plug?

I'm not clear on what you mean by pass through power cord. If you're referring to converting the mouse hole type storage for the power cord to a twist off cord, then yes I have done it. I used the Marinco 30a 125v kit from Amazon. The install is easy and took an hour or two. Below is a link in case I'm on the right track.

Nailed it! How did the install go? I'm assuming I'll need to cut out the mouse hole, but how is the fit with the new plug?

I didn't have to cut a hole because I was changing from the mouse hole to a twist off cord. The plastic mouse hole port was worn and had to be changed so I made the conversion. The install was easy with the parts in the kit and I sealed it with Proflex sealant when finished. I believe there was a template in the kit to help with cutting out the hole. I installed it last spring and used it about four times with no problems, I like it. Be sure to check out you tube there may be a how to video. Good luck with your project.

I've done it as well with the kit, sometime last year. I contemplated trying to figure out how to do it without the kit, but ended up buying it. I'm glad I did. It made it much easier. I'd buy it again without hesitation
