Watchdog earned its keep

I have the watchdog ems. It earned its keep yesterday. We had rolling thunderstorms. The ems took 2 hits and shut down the power and reset. My dh asked why Noone else lost power and I said they were probably not protected and those hits could fry electronics in the rvs. Its the first time it's been needed as far as we know and I am glad we have it. I like that it's easy to read and understand. Just look out the window and if the dog is happy, then I am happy.

Love it when a plan works out... Bet there are many who didn't have the EMS that wish they'd spent the money... Good move on your part..

Did I blow the internal “guts” of the Watchdog?

I have one in our Coach.

There is an internal board that can take a certain amount of surge before it is used up. You can replace that board.
