Ceiling lights not working

2013 FZ315 Complete set of ceiling lights do not work. Switch is good with 12.3 volts DC going thru the switch. Switch beside it works fine, also swapped switches and problem stayed on the same row. All fuses check good. Are these lights like old style Christmas lights where if first bulb is bad none work? Any suggestions to track down the issue is greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Dan

The light bulbs are not in series but are daisy chained. Sounds like you may have lost the ground or the positive. Take down the fixture closest to the switch and check for power and ground.

Well let's see pulled down light fixture 12.3 volts at wires.. got a new bulb and now that fixture works. Just replaced all bulbs before last trip cheap ones off ebay or Amazon do not remember. But why would bulbs burn out at same time? Can a spike at campground cause this?

Spike? Doubtful as they are 12vdc and a spike high enough to cause the converter to burn out the bulbs would likely damage the rest of the 12vdc system. I suspect since you "replaced them all with cheap ones" you have your answer. Sometimes you "get what you pay for". Replace them with some decent LEDs and be tone with them for years. They also will draw less amperage which typically will keep the converter fan from comming on and produce a LOT less heat.

If you don't have one get one ASAP!
An EMS/surge protector of whatever amp rating of your rv, either hardwired or portable, to connect your rv to shore power. This will eliminate the worry of spikes or other electrical abnormalities before any damage to your rv could occur.
Should be mandatory for ALL RVs!

Is that an LED light? It looks like it. If so, are they 12vdc only (you said they were cheapies and they are usually 12vdc only)? They will all die quickly if so. You need 12-28vdc LEDs so that any variance in the 12vdc, which you will have, won't kill them. BTDT
