Power awning failed

I have a 2014 Keystone Residence 402BH. I need to replace my awning motor. The part will not come in for a week. How do I take it down manually in the mean time. ?

It depends on the awning brand. Mine has a rubber plug you can pop off the head at the end of the arm and insert a drive tool to manually operate the awning in the event of a motor failure. Also depending on the brand you can get a motor from RockAuto for about $11 as opposed to the $129+ manufacturer motor

If it’s a Dometic with the internal motor, look for an Allen head on the back and top of that arm. Take them out and you can manually roll the awning up.
