With the hitch, make sure you have it adjusted correctly, with some pressure on the centering bolt. That way, the hitch will stay straight better as you back into it. Also, when you spray WD40 on the ways, also spray some on the plate so when you back into it, the pin box will slide in easier. You should be backing into the hitch so the pin box has to lift a little to prevent high hitching. With about 70,000 miles on our hitch, I finally had to replace a broken leveling spring that holds the head level side to side. Other than that, the hitch has been great.
