Securing Cougar 5ers.

When all is locked,It is very easy to get in.
Everbody has key to cubby.if have CH7** key.Open cubby go up thru laundry chute trap door.
I pull sliding door, top of steps closed and block it.
Kids have found this in Fl.

As you have just discovered, the CH7 key will unlock almost every RV outside storage compartment. You will have to change out this lock in order for your exterior storage to be secure. Many members on here have already done that.

Are the replacement locks actually unique keys or are they just another CH751 to be discovered by the thieves?

If unique locks aren't available, changing them probably won't make much difference.

Howdy All;

I take the locks out, take them to a locksmith and have him "re-pin" the cylinders. Bring them back to the trailer and re-install. He also cuts me some new keys at the same time. Costs about 2 or 3 dollers per.
