If the lights get bright when you plug into shore power, then I doubt there is a problem with the converter. I would test the battery, and you can check the converter easily by using a volt meter on the battery posts. Should see 13+ VDC, and if you do the battery should be the starting point for further investigation.

If I am not mistaken, just so you know where it is, the converter is behind your fuse panel in the bottom of the corner cupboard across from your bath room door.

Re: 322qbs converter issues?

I too would suspect the battery, especially if it is more then 3 years old. Also check the connections for cleanliness and tightness. Dealers often install the smallest they can get away with plus it may be an off brand. I went from a Gr 24 to a Gr 31 so I could at least do a complete dry camp type setup without losing umphhhh.

If indeed you have a failing converter, WYCO is the usual brand. Ours had their 65 amp WF9865 that just last week I replaced with their 75 amp WF9875 for a bit more capacity. The original had a very low end ADDA brand fan that rattled and moaned. That fan has since been replaced and that old converter is now a spare. My post on the replacement:http://www.keystonerv.org/forums/showthread.php?t=26491

That location under the stair well in a fifth wheel is quite common. That’s where mine is.. I’d sure be checking the battery first as stated above
