Question CA Hwy 299 from Redding to Burney

Does anyone have experience driving Highway 299 east from Redding to Burney. Taking a summer trip and want to know if its a good route for towing a 32' 5'er. Thanks for any thoughts.

Shouldn't be a problem, well maintained road. I have traveled it and also SR-44 from Redding east to Susanville, good road as well. Both are curvy in places so don't be in a hurry, take your time and enjoy the ride. Happy Campin....
