New Sydney Outback

We were wondering, does anyone do anything to their woodwork to protect it from the Sun...

My mother used to wax her wood work is that necessary??

Other than pulling down the shades and keeping the direct sun off both the upholstery and the woodwork, we don't bother to wax or apply any kind of UV protection to the interior. Besides, we don't get much sun here -- mostly rain - so I have some difficulty understanding the concept of UV protection.

Other members who live in sunnier regions may do something different. Some, I believe, use foil on their windows or cover it in the "winter".
