Question about toilet Water Valves

After only the 2nd trip in a my new Travel Trailer my toilet water valve, sprung a leak and needs to be replaced. My question is for you guys who had trailers for awhile, is this a common problem and should I travel with a spare?

Thank You

I usually get 2 yrs out of them. I don't keep a spare as most repair places have them in stock. I have found they last longer if you leave the mounting bolts a hair loose.

Never knew this. Explains why mine just pooped out. Pick one up yesterday and I am going to tackle this one today. Thanks, I feel somewhat at ease now.... I hope...

EDIT: Valve went on like a champion. One thing to note is that you need to make sure that spring cartridge is seated all the way. Otherwise you run the risk of putting it all back together only to find that the flush ball doesn't open when you push the pedal down... SMH

In over 100,000 miles and many years never had one go bad. I assume you ALWAYS use a pressure regulator? If not, I think you better.
