Pull the inside cover off of your a/c. You should be able to see where it was cut. Might even find a piece blocking a duct like I did!

Call the roof manufacture and ask them. My service shop recommended a roof conditioner and after talking with the manufacture, they said it was not needed and not to use it. I clean mine twice a year with Dawn and spray my roof and awnings once a year with Wet and Forget and I have no mold.

On my slides (2014 Cougar XLite) when the slides are extended, there is still about 3" of slide roof that is inside the trailer. That part is NEVER exposed to rain, water or sunshine/UV damage. Your slides may be similar. If they are, you can partially pull the slide in, use a ladder to get to the inside part of the roof and check there. Possibly you can undo the molding that secures that part of the slide membrane and pull it back enough to see the underside ??? Replacing the molding "should be straightforward" and resealing that molding edge "should be a permanent fix" for the molding you would need to reseal.
If I were you, I wouldn't start taking apart your slide roof to see if it's a different material. Essentially, the slide roof only gets a small amount of the UV exposure that the main roof gets because it's usually inside the trailer, so protecting it with a coating isn't as important as it would be if that same membrane was exposed 24/7 like the main roof.

Good point on exposure. looking at the part that gets no exposure it does have a texture, no easy way to look at an edge. cant get my pic to work. have a small bubble abou 2inches long half inch wide there were two small black spots onthe bubble afeter i cleaned they were larger an dozens more ( smaller than a pea) showed up, this led me to think it was epdm, not looking like it now, but black spots cannot be good,

Black spots could be caused by anything from the adhesive that was used to secure the membrane to the OSB decking, the actual chemicals used in the OSB (which is what causes the black streaks on the main cabin roof membrane) or maybe even something that got spilled on the slide roof while they were building it and even though they "cleaned it up" the damage was done. I say "damage was done" because you see the spots, not because there is/isn't actual damage to the membrane.
Spatterd black spots on the roof membrane doesn't sound like EPDM flaking to me, it sounds more like something "spotted the TPO and is causing a reaction".

I cant get the pictures to work but I have to agree with you, there is no flaking and after looking at it again does seem more like stains. Ill just keep an eye on it and the bubble as well

I was considering cleaning and using a Dicor protectant on my TPO roof but after reviewing this thread I guess I'll do nothing as it looks clean and good.
Update: I ended up doing a light cleaning of the roof with a 50/50 Simple Green and water solution and a soft brush. This worked very well. My only complaint is that when I rinsed the room off with water it removed the wax I had on the sides of the TT and caused some streaking. I then re-waxed the TT and all is good.
