I, like others, have had various problems with the placement of the 'prewire hole' or "missing wires". In most cases the missing wire is there but you have to find it they didn't attach it to the prewire cap.
For our first trailer, the placement was suspect as it was close to a cabinet and I had to actually lower the doors on the cabinet about 1/8" to get the clearance to open after the install. In the second trailer install the prewire hole was in a place that looked like it would hit the bathroom door but it would not since we now have an "arched roof" which would give the clearance. BUT the cables were too short to reach the prewire location. But you have a good 2ft radius below the roof antenna to 'abort' the prewire location, make a new hole and mount the device. I used the 'prewire hole' to install the on/off toggle switch. Which is actually very useful (to turn off the device when it isn't connected...while towing or at home or...) to ensure your cell phone does not automatically connect to the device when you don't want it to.
