From my own experience, the water-saver restrictor in the kitchen faucet is the issue. Grey tanks fill up fast enough, but a high-flow faucet will only make it worse. Since the kitchen often is the biggest water hog, it tends to have the most flow restriction. My outside kitchen faucet has no flow restriction and can almost blow a cup out of your hand.
If tank capacity isn’t an issue, just install a household kitchen faucet instead. I have a pull-down head on my faucet and it seems more satisfying when I flip the nozzle to “spray” instead of “stream”. My wife loves washing dishes (go figure), but if we had no flow restrictor I would be emptying the tank on a daily basis. Fine when you have hookups, but that is unusual for us so I would have to drag out the portable dump tank. No thanks!
