Fair price to install fantastic fan

I'd like to have the bathroom fan replaced with a fantastic fan for better ventilation. I don't want to do the roof work. I'm guessing from what I've read that it will take someone like an RV tech about 2 hours to do that portion of the job. Does that sound right - for those of you who've done this? What is a reasonable hourly rate to expect?

I've not had anyone do it but most dealerships I've dealt with use a "labor guide" similar to automotive dealers that give standardized hours for particular jobs. If that guide says 2 hours for that installation in my part of the world that would be about $150hr last time I looked. You might get an independent mobile service to do it for less.

I have done it in 1 hr IF the 12V wiring is there. Labor rate is geographical.

Since the bathroom fan is already 12V, I'm assuming the voltage draw won't be significantly different. Just aiming to reduce noise and possibly bring in outside fresh air when appropriate.

So one to two hours seems appropriate. There are a couple of independent service types locally and I'll be checking with them for experience and rates.

I just installed the Maxxair MaxxFan in my 2018 Passport yesterday. Took all of about 90 minutes and 3 beers. At first I had planned on replacing the small factory one in the bathroom but after further evaluation I elected to replace the skylight one in the main kitchen/dinning area as that is where I wanted to exhaust cooking odors and get the best air exchange. I tapped off an existing wiring as there were multiple circuit leads right in that area. The hardest part for me (I'm 64) was getting up on the roof to remove the old skylight and sealant. Once that was off and cleaned-up the new one dropped right into place. Really quite and nice to have that great air exchange. I didn't want all the bell and whistle stuff like remote control or rain detection as I live in the southwest where it seldom rains. $132 shipped to me door + the 3 beers.
