Floor vents not heating
2022 Hideout 253RL
I activated the furnace function on the wall thermostat.
The heater lit up and the "fan" (only) in the ceiling AirConditioner also started to run.
There was next to nothing coming out of ANY of the floor vents. If the ceiling AC fan is on and, essentially, over pressuring the interior of the trailer how is ANYTHING supposed to come out/up from the floor?
Am I missing something?
Thank you,
Regards,
Eric

Turn fan speed to auto the select the furnace function and see where you are. Be sure and set a temp that's actually warmer that what it is inside or it isn't going to run.

Yes, you're missing the "designed in feature to help rapidly cool/heat the trailer"... It's the fan switch on the thermostat. If it's set to HI or LO, then the roof air conditioner fan will also operate when the thermostat calls for furnace heat. That's "intended to more rapidly distribute warm air throughout the trailer.
To "disable this feature" set the thermostat fan switch to AUTO. That takes the roof air conditioner fan out of the circuit and allows only the furnace and the floor vents to deliver "furnace air"....
As a sidenote, the ceiling vents are for "roof air only" and the floor vents are for "furnace air only". They are not interconnected, except through that fan switch that turns on the fans. Set it to AUTO and solve your problem.

If you still get no airflow, then you need to locate the furnace and Make sure the ducting is actually attached to the plenum. If it is and your still having flow issues, I would schedule a warranty visit.

Folks,
Thank you all for the inputs. I'll be checking the "auto" feature on the ceiling/AC fan.
Best wishes to all!

Please also note that even with the AC fan running, it is only recirculating interior air, it is not drawing in outside air and “over-pressurizing” the interior.

Chuster57 makes a valid point... We have a 2021 Cougar 26RBS and on first time trip we were not getting heated airflow coming out of a floor duct... Warranty visit and tech found the ducting had become disconnected and we were actually heating the underbelly... :-)
