Keystone Cougar 34TSB

We are purchasing our first RV a Keystone Cougar 34TSB for temporary housing in the woods of Georgia. How big of a generator would I need to run everything? Also I have done some research and looks like an invertor type is what I need.

Thanks for your help

Welcome to the forum

Congrats on your purchase. General rule, 3500 watts for single AC and 5500 watts for 2 AC’s.

Inverter type is “cleaner” energy and less likely to harm electronics.

The 5500 could also be used as a back up for the permanent housing later on as well.

Chuckster57 Thank you! We will have 2 AC's. I assume the 50amp service won't be a problem, or is there an adapter I will need? Also any brands you recommend over others?

Your welcome. I don’t have a preference when it comes to portable gen sets. Those with a portable 5500W can answer the adapter part better than I can. I install gens and I only camp in full hook ups so I’m not familiar with the outlets on a portable gen that size.
