Couch removal

I have a Keystone Cougar 2012 309RLS and I trying to replace the factory couch. It appears to be bolted down from under the slide. I don't want to start tearing things apart until I'm sure that's what I have. Any help will be appreciated

Some photos of the couch in your trailer will help with an answer. There are several different types of couch that have been installed, many in the same model year. Most are screwed to the sidewall with two screws, one at each top corner of the sofa back. Some older "jack knife sofas" were bolted to the frame of the wheelwell and/or to the framework of the trailer or the slide....

Photos will help determine what you have and how to remove it.

Just pulled our sofa & put in 2 rocking chairs. Old age they say? 78 & up.

Yours might be different.

What I did was open the hida bed all the way up.

Lifted anything that would open up.

Ours has a steel frame between the 2 arms that holds the weights of other parts.
The frame is 1/2 way up the arms held by 4 screws into each arm @ that point.

The "kick board" in the front screws to the arms @ the front (2 screws)

To hold everything, there is a board (1x4) @ the back of the arms about 3" off the floor.

This was the key: it had 4 screws into the wall to be removed.

That allowes the arms etc to be pulled out (they just sit on the floor).

1 or 2 screws go thru that board into the arms.

The platforms piviot on pins in the steel frame going into the other moveable platforms & are held by clevis clips.

Yours may be different in some ways but I searched & searched for floor hold downs or "L" bracket mounts only to discover the above.

Be very careful of your fingers there are many pinch points.

By the time I had it all out I realized I should have made a video.

Recently look at ours was thinking of replacing it opened it up there were 3 screws holding it to the floor. Hex head and had to look real hard to find then. They were pushed through the cloth backing and scored into the frame of the couch then into the floor.
