Tire Pressure Monitoring Systems

Hello. We are going to buy a TPMS made by Dill's, model 1508 for our truck and 5er. Does anyone have any experience with this system or this company. One concern is that the warranty is only for 90 days. Suggestions about other systems would also be helpful.

Happy Trails

Tpms

I would be wary of any unit with a 90 day Warranty. While it is true that warranty length is probably more of a marketing decision rather than a reflection on quality, I would still look for a full year.

IMHO,
John

Tst tpms

You need to checkout the TST TPMS ... 2 year warranty. They now have flow thru sensors. Measures pressure and temperature.

Love my American designed, American built, American supported Pressure Pro. Seven years now on same sensors.

Smile Tpms

I should have mentioned that this system is similar to the new ones found in cars and trucks and is mounted inside the tire rim. It requires each tire to be taken off the rim and the new stem and sensor inserted. Tire is remounted and balanced. I think this is more secure than a sensor that is subject to theft.

That Dill system looks pretty nice. I like the fact it mounts inside the wheel and not exposed on the outside.

I prefer to NOT have sensor inside tire. We tow with my Ford which always has sensors on wheels. When towing, if towing TT then the other four are on the TT. If towing our Cargo Trailer, single axle, sensors go on it.

When not towing at all, sensors go on wifes car. We have a seperate monitor to facilitate that.

Note every single change requires a new pressure set point, which takes only a few minutes with our Pressure Pro. For that matter when I drop the TT on the Ford for towing, I use different pressures than for day to day driving.
