Wheels and Tires

I have a 2012 Copper Canyon 273FWRET with 225/75/R15 tires. They are Towmax power kings and I want to put on LT tires. I can not find a LT in a 15 size. Does anyone know if you can put 16 inch wheels and tires on this unit. I have 4 inch clearance from top of the tire to the wheel well with the 15 inch tires. How much clearance do you need so the tire does not hit?

I'm not sure about your unit but I was able to put 16" on my Cougar. Section width was more of a concern on mine ... not much clearance to slide components. This calculator may help to compare different tire sizes. Hope this helps, Hank ............. Be sure to measure both sides as you will find they are different.

Hankook has 2 LT tires:

Dynapro AS LT235/75R15 50PSI LR D 1,985
Dynapro HT LT235/75R15 50PSI LR D 1,985

If you're looking for LR E then I haven't seen any in years and don't know if anyone makes a 15" LR E ( Other than ST tires)

Hi,
I would recommend that you look at this web site for tires and rims, for your trailer if you want to go to 16" size. If you do not see what you want than contact them for their recommendations.

This site was recommended to me from another member on the Turbo Diesel Register forum which I am a member also.

I am looking to upgrade my tires this spring on my trailer, which is a 318SAB Cougar. I will be dealing with them since I want Michelins XB ribs for my trailer.
